Therapy in your own language

Language & Cultural Understanding

  • English
  • Urdu
  • Punjabi

I offer therapy in English, Urdu and Punjabi, allowing you to communicate in the language that feels most comfortable and natural to you.

Being able to use a familiar language can make it easier to express emotions, experiences, family dynamics and cultural or faith-related issues that may sometimes feel difficult to put into words.

This may help if…

  • You feel more comfortable expressing certain emotions in Urdu or Punjabi
  • You want to explore culture, family or faith in a familiar language
  • You naturally move between languages when expressing yourself
  • You want your cultural and linguistic background to be understood as part of your therapy

Integrative Psychotherapy

Bringing together different therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that is tailored to each person, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

This may help if…

  • You'd like therapy shaped around you, rather than a fixed programme
  • You've tried one approach before and it didn't quite fit
  • You want space to bring different sides of an issue as they come up

Person-Centred Therapy

Providing a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, feel heard and explore what matters to you.

This may help if…

  • You want to talk freely without feeling judged
  • You're looking for someone to really listen, without rushing to advice

Attachment-Informed Therapy

Exploring how early relationships and experiences can influence the way we understand ourselves, relate to others and respond to closeness, conflict and separation.

This may help if…

  • You notice similar patterns repeating in close relationships
  • You find it hard to trust, or to let people get close
  • You're curious how early relationships still shape you today

Psychodynamic Therapy

Exploring patterns, feelings, relationships and experiences that may have developed over time, including aspects of ourselves that can sometimes be outside our immediate awareness.

This may help if…

  • You sense there's more beneath a feeling or reaction than you can explain
  • You want to understand where a pattern first began
  • You're open to reflecting on the past as well as the present

This may help if…

  • You're facing questions about meaning, purpose or direction
  • A big life change has left you re-evaluating things
  • You want space to think through big questions without easy answers

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Working with an awareness of how difficult or overwhelming experiences can affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, the body and our sense of safety. The emphasis is on creating safety and understanding rather than forcing someone to revisit experiences before they are ready.

This may help if…

  • Something difficult or overwhelming still affects you day to day
  • You want to go at a pace that feels safe, without being pushed
  • You're not sure you're "ready" to talk about everything yet, and that's okay

Relational Therapy

Placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. Exploring how you experience relationships and what happens between us in therapy can become an important part of understanding yourself and developing healthier ways of relating.

This may help if…

  • You want to understand your relationship patterns through the therapy relationship itself
  • You find it useful to reflect on how you relate to others, including your therapist
  • You're interested in what happens "between" people, not just within them
